Our Story

Little did the couple know that downloading the popular (and generally unlucky) dating app, Tinder, would be one of the best decisions of their lives. It wasn't long after Andrew and Mia were matched that Andrew got up the nerve to strike up a casual conversation.

Right away, Andrew and Mia hit it off. He loved Mia's dry, sharp wit and her sometimes sarcastic sense of humor. Mia loved his intelligence and goofy sense of humor. Mia asked Andrew to meet her for a date on May the Fourth.

Andrew fell in love with both Mia and her son, Holden, so after a couple of years, he moved out to Riverside. They have been living happily as a family for a little over a year.

The Proposal

For the couple's third anniversary, Andrew planned a trip up the coast to Cambria. On the second day, after walking along a boardwalk overlooking the gorgeous coast line, they went to find another location for a picnic.

It was up on a cliff over the ocean, but unfortunately it was very cold and windy. The fog had rolled in rapidly. Mia wanted to get out of there quickly and eat a picnic on the bed of their AirBnB instead. Luckily, Andrew insisted that they stay for just a few minutes.

He read off a list of reasons he loved Mia that he had prepared. He then got on one knee and asked Mia to marry him. With lots of laughing and definitely some shock, Mia said yes!
